COVID-19 Updates

During this time of uncertainty with COVID-19, O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home wants to reassure our families that serving you with the utmost care and compassion is our top priority.  We are dedicated to continue to allow our families to honor the life and cherish the memories of their loved one amid this pandemic.

We want to inform our families that you may still choose either burial or cremation.  Funerals, gravesides, memorial services and visitations will be conducted in accordance to the current CDC, state and local guidelines in regards to the limited number of attendees allowed.  If the family wishes and authorizes us to do so, we will video record the service and upload it to our website as we have been doing previously for families.  Families are also given a personalized DVD recording of the service.  If families would rather wait until regulations are lifted, they have the option to hold services at a later date.  For now, with the attendance of funerals being limited, we encourage everyone to leave a message of condolence through our funeral home website at www.osrfh.com or send cards to the family care of O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home, 4115 Ave N, Kearney, NE 68847.

In an effort to protect the health and well-being of our families, we are working diligently to create a safe environment for you to honor your loved one. We will continue to be conscientious about the cleanliness of our facility and properly disinfect and sanitize it.  The safety and health of our families and our staff is very important to us.

Our facility will remain open and our compassionate staff will continue assisting families at this difficult time.  We are asking that anyone needing our services or that has any questions or concerns, to please call before coming into the funeral home.  We are honored to care for our families and provide professional guidance through this critical time in our lives.  Although, we are practicing social distancing, please know that our sincere compassion still remains.  We want to thank our families we serve for your patience and understanding while we make all the necessary changes and transitions recommended to better protect everyone.  Please remember you can contact us with any questions or concerns at 308-234-3500.  As always, we are available at all times.
