Brenda Judd, 66 Kearney resident Brenda Y. Judd, 66 of Kearney passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with Rev. Mike Evans officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Brenda was born January 28, 1954 in Kearney, Nebraska to Everett and Norma (Benge) Johnson. She was raised in Gibbon and received her education from Gibbon High School, graduating with the class of 1972. Brenda was united in marriage to Neil Schade. To this union one son, Brian was born. On July 14, 2007, Brenda was united in marriage to Bernie Judd. Brenda worked as a Med Aide at Cambridge Court for 23 years, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and her flowers. Brenda loved to go for drives and to spend time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bernie Judd of Kearney; son, Brian Schade of Wood River; stepchildren, Bob (Myree) Judd of Washington, Brian Judd of Kearney, Mike (Heather) Judd of Central City, Andrea Williamson of Kearney; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Carla Smallcomb, David Johnson, Judy (Wes) Miller, Doug (Sandy) Johnson all of Gibbon, Kristi (Dave) Martensen of Leigh, NE and Bob (Crystal) Johnson of Minden; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Jim Smallcomb.
