Louis “Butch” Siebenaler, 67 of Sumner passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the United Church of Sumner. Interment will follow at Sumner Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Louis J. “Butch” Siebenaler was born December 12, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska to Louis C. and Marguerite (Starkey) Siebenaler. He attended Valley High School where he was a member of the 1970 Class C State Champion wrestling team. Following High School, Butch worked at the hay mill in Lexington. He later moved to Sumner and started Butch’s Repair. Butch was united in marriage to Donna Schutt in Sumner, NE. The couple was happily married until Donna’s death in 1998. Butch was often referred to as the King of Muscle Cars by his family and friends. He had a passion for racing. Butch was known for racing stock cars, drag racing and pickup pulls. Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Steve (Kay) Siebenaler of Kearney; half-sisters, Kathleen Wilson, Linda Pfeifer and Ruth Sheibal all of Omaha and Sherry Clark of Grand Ronde, OR; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews. Butch was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Donna Siebenaler.
