Margie Roesler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Margie Roesler, 88 of Kearney passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Brookstone Gardens in Kearney, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Barone officiating. Interment will follow at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Margie was born March 29, 1933 in rural Hildreth, Nebraska to Thomas and Rose (Dorn) Westerbuhr. She grew up in Wilcox and received her education from Wilcox High School. After high school she attended Kearney State College for one year. She was united in marriage to Wayne Roesler on October 21, 1951. She worked for Wilcox Public School as a secretary for several years. Later her and her husband owned and operated Roesler Building Supply. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching, bridge club, and most of all, spending time with her family. Margie was very active in the community and volunteered for numerous organizations. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Glenda Fraber of Kearney; son, Alan (Mary) Roesler of Kearney; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ellie (Don) Skokan of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law, Barbara Johnson of Laguna Woods, CA and Marcia Westerbuhr of Scottsbluff, NE; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Terry Roesler.
