Rosalee (Sheen) Hellman, 73 of Omaha passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 in Omaha. Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home with Father Paul Colling officiating. Private family interment will be held at Kearney Cemetery prior to the service. Rosalee was born May 25, 1948 in Kearney, Nebraska to Clarence and LaVonne (Henning) Sheen. She grew up on a farm in Kearney with brothers Ed and Steve Sheen. She attended Kearney Public schools and graduated in 1966. She then attended Kearney State College. She was married in 1967 to Joel Hellman and had four children Jeff, Jason, Jered and Jennifer. She raised her family in York, Lincoln and eventually Omaha. Rosalee’s family was everything to her and she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff (Stephanie) Hellman, Jason (Courtney) Hellman, Jered (Sara) Hellman and Jennifer (Mike) Knust all of Omaha; grandchildren, Jacob Hellman, Juliann, Bennett, Ellie and Abby Hellman, Jamison and Eve Hellman and Conrad and Alli Knust; siblings, Steve (Joan) Sheen of Kearney and Ed Sheen of Minden; as well as many brother and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, many extended family and friends. Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law Jacob Hellman and mother-in-law Francis Hellman; and her nephew, Michael Sheen.
