Shelly Dummer, 53 of Kearney passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Wel-Life Assisted Living in Kearney. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with Father Art Faesser officiating. Inurnment will be held at Kearney Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Shelly was born June 28, 1968 in Racine, Wisconsin to Charles and Joan (Alexander) Dummer. At the age of 7, Shelly and her family moved to Kearney, NE. She attended Kearney Catholic High School, graduating with the class of 1986. Shelly was very outgoing, was always happy and could easily make friends. She was a huge fan of the Tri-City Storm and the Green Bay Packers. Left to cherish her memory are her son, CJ Gunther of Holdrege; daughter, Kara (Jeffrey) Anderson of Kearney; mother, Joan Dummer of Kearney; brother, Jeff Dummer of Kearney; and several extended family and friends. Shelly was preceded in death by her father.
