Timothy W. Cline, 52, of Kearney died Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Kearney. Memorial services will be at 10 am Saturday, January 23rd at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Cline will be cremated following the visitation. Timothy Wayne Cline was born on May 24, 1963 in Franklin, Nebraska to Wilbur and Janice (Brune) Cline. He grew up and received his education in Overton and Minden. Following high school, he lived in Kansas where he worked in the cabinetry business. While living in Kansas he was married to his first wife and two children were born to this union, Amanda and Andrew. He later returned to Nebraska where he worked for Olsen Farms near Minden for several years. He was united in marriage to Barb Luther on January 20, 1996 in Kearney. The couple made their home in Kearney where he has been employed by Ace Irrigation for almost 20 years. At the time of his death, he was a supervisor and head welder at Ace Irrigation. Tim was injured in an ATV accident seven years ago and was told he would never walk again. Being a fighter, as he always has been, Tim persevered and to the amazement of doctors and nurses he was walking again in a matter of months. He enjoyed fishing, camping, mudding, and working on cars and trucks, especially his 1972 Chevy truck. Tim was an avid race car fan and an excellent mechanic. He loved working on the race cars of Cody Blessing and Travis Kernick. At one time or another he has worked on several, if not all, race cars driven by Kearney drivers. He was also an animal lover, in particular his dogs, Holly and Princess (Bailey). Most of all Tim loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barb Cline of Kearney; a daughter, Amanda Wagoner and husband Jeremy of Osborne, KS; a son, Andrew Cline of Downs, KS; a stepdaughter, Brenda Kenkel and husband Roger of Gibbon; a stepson, Michael Luther and wife Lisa of Kearney; ten grandchildren, Karley, Miracle, Rylan, Caly, Korben, Chaz, Kaiden, Kaden, Chase and Kirby. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathy, Susan, Steve and Craig, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
