Jaden Marie Schaub, age 28, passed away on January 18, 2026. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Loup City, NE. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City, NE. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney and one hour prior to the service at the church in Loup City. Jaden was born October 21, 1997 in Kearney, NE to Michael and Donna (Wickizer) Schaub. She was raised near Gibbon and attended Gibbon High School, graduating in 2016. She was a beautiful soul who possessed a rare heart of gold and a spirit that remained unbroken despite the many challenges life placed in her path. While she faced great adversity in her short time on earth Jaden always stood strong. She was a woman of quiet courage who may have been overlooked by the world at times, but to those who loved her, she was a beacon of light and resilience. Her greatest joys were found in the simple, honest things in life. She was a devoted aunt who lived to spoil her nieces; they were the absolute lights of her life. A true lover of animals, she found peace and companionship in her loyal dog and had a special, lifelong fondness for cows, finding beauty in their gentle nature. To her family, Jaden was the most beautiful person inside and out. She loved fiercely and unconditionally, always putting her family first. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a reminder that even in the face of hardship, one can remain soft-hearted and brave. She is survived by her parents Mike and Donna Schaub of Gibbon; siblings, Brian (Kortni) Schaub of Thedford, NE and Michael (Chelsea) Schaub of Ismay, MT; nieces, Brynlee, Regan and Taylee Schaub; grandmothers, Ruth Wickizer and Rosemary Schaub; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends; also her special friend, Lonnie Kinne; and her beloved dog, Stetson. Jaden was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Don Wickizer and Rick Schaub; uncle, Tim Schaub; and her aunt, Ada Mary Cole.
