Judith A. Dyer of Kearney, 71, passed away peacefully November 19, 2015 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 11:45 am Saturday, November 28, 2015 with a celebration of life and time of sharing to begin at 11:45 am at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home. A light lunch will follow at the funeral home. Family request guests to dress casual. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Kearney Cancer Center or Kearney Area Animal Shelter. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Judi was born on August 27, 1944 to James and Katherine (Tait) Ingram in Nebraska City, NE. She grew up in Eastern Nebraska and North Platte. Judi was united in marriage to Robert Dyer on July 29, 1960 at North Platte. After which the couple lived in Portland, OR where they resided for 2 ½ years before returning to Nebraska where they lived in various locations before settling in Kearney for the last 45 years. She was member of Weight Watchers where she also became a part of a special group of ladies called “Rehab Grannies”. Judi is survived by her husband Bob; son Gary Dyer of Idaho; daughter Brenda and son-in-law Jim King of Kearney; grandsons, Beau Dyer of Idaho, and Hunter King of Kearney; and her four legged furry grandchildren: Maxine and Maggie Mae of Idaho and Ringer of Kearne; brother Jim (Gloria) Ingram of Greeley Co; sisters Linda Nichols of Kearney and Kathy of North Platte. Brother-in-law Daryl (Margaret) Dyer of Grinnel, IA, brother-in-law Rollie Brown of Gothenburg, sister-in-law Marjorie Swearingen of Hastings, sister-in-law Norma Venema of Lincoln, brother-in-law Donnie (Marean) Dyer of Hastings, sister-in-law Marilyn (Art) Johnson of Colorado Springs CO, sister-in-law Carol Jean (Woody) Wood of Eagle Grove IA, brother-in-law Dick (Sandra) Dyer of Albany GA, sister-in-law Judy (Mike) Young of Omaha. Special niece Barb Allen of Centennial CO and many more nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law Margaret and Arthur Dyer, sister and brother-in-law Dale and Phyllis Hite, sister-in-law Dorothy Brown, brother-in-law Norman Venema, nephew Dennis Allen, brother-in-law, Clarence Swearingen, sister-in-law, Annette Dyer, aunts and uncles Bill & Maxine Tait, Joe and Dorothy Tait. Four legged furry children Dusty Jo and Duchess Marie.
