Timothy L. Trompke

Timothy L. Trompke, 65, of Kearney, NE passed away on April 7, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Kearney with Fr. Paul Colling as celebrant. Interment will follow at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with a Rosary Service to follow at 6 p.m. Tim was born on June 5, 1959 in Kearney, NE to Richard and Gladys Franzen Trompke. He attended school in Elm Creek, NE and completed his education in Culbertson, NE. Tim was blessed with two sets of parents and many brothers and sisters. As a child Tim was raised at the Culbertson Children's Home by his foster parents Derrel and Kay Wall. The Wall’s reside in Texas and Tim maintained a close relationship with them. Tim was united in marriage to Lori J. Choquette on March 18, 1983 and celebrated 42 years together. Carpenters - they build it, square and on the level Tim was owner and operator of TNT Carpentry/Construction. Tim had a strong work ethic. He prided himself in being professional, on time and completing the job to perfection for every customer. He truly enjoyed being a craftsman. Tim found time to enjoy his hobbies including fishing, hunting, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and many hours perfecting his yard and home. He enjoyed all sports especially following his many nieces and nephews activities. Tim was a compassionate caring animal lover and always had his loyal companions to bring him joy. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lori; sister Sharon (Ben) Muirhead, Lexington, NE; brother Gary (Shelley) Trompke, Axtell, NE; mother-in-law Marie Choquette, Minden, NE; in-laws: Kevin (Connie) Choquette Upland, NE; Janelle (Marty) Bohan, Newnan, GA; Cindy (Phil) Scharber, Winchester, TN; Kerwin Choquette, Minden, NE; Scott (Jenny) Choquette, Overland Park, KS; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Gladys Trompke, brother Bill “Willy T”, nephew Jeremy Trompke, and father-in-law Adrian Choquette; and many extended relatives and close friends.
